Mike & Nicole - Oh Baby!

A few years ago my husband and I moved to Jacksonville and I started volunteering with a local pit bull rescue. This was how I met Nicole, a fellow dog loving, veggie eating, beach worshiper. And I instantly knew she would marry my friend Mike and they would live happily ever after, making lots of babies along the way.

Despite my insistence that they were soul mates, the two didn’t immediately start dating like I thought they should. They actually didn’t even meet each other for a couple of years (Nicole had a boyfriend, Mike was living in a different city for work, details like that) but once they finally did there was no looking back.

So you can imagine my excitement when they asked me to take some pictures for them to use as their birth announcement! As matchmaker, I assume I get a hefty portion of the credit for this, right?

Cecely & Charles | Baby Shower | Jacksonville, FL | Cobalt & Co.

Y'all.  I have been Majorly (yep, capital 'M') slacking on updating the blog and social media accounts of Cobalt & Co.  It's only May and yet 2017 has already been the year of All. The. Things. That said, if ever there was a reason to get back to sharing, this baby shower was it!

How cute is the jungle theme they went with?!

Before the festivities began we snuck away from the guests and grabbed a couple of quick pictures with the family.  Two families becoming one - how sweet is that?

And of course I couldn't resist capturing the adorable soon-to-be-parents on their special day!

The rest of the afternoon was filled with opening gifts, laughter, and lots of love!  I am so glad I got to be part of this special day.  Cecely & Charles, you are going to be the most wonderful parents!

Victoria | Maternity | Jacksonville, FL | Cobalt & Co.

Victoria gave birth to their sweet little baby boy just a couple of weeks ago and I've been going back through and swooning over her maternity pictures ever since.

We had so much fun during this maternity session.  Despite being super close to her maternity date, Vic was still up for adventure...and some dancing!

Isn't she absolutely stunning?

I was actually supposed to be there for baby Joe's birth but I came down with a terrible flu.  It was so devastating to miss because in addition to wanting to be able to give Joe & Vic pictures from such a special day, I selfishly have been dying to do a birth session!  Note to self: ALWAYS get the flu shot!

I can't wait to get over to their house and meet baby Joe.  I know with Joe & Vic for parents he is sure to already be one hilarious, happy little dude!
