When Pinterest Comes to Life

Guys.  This family.  It's like they stepped off a pinterest board and straight in front of my camera.

I'm not sure how this momma has managed to have not just one but two of the sweetest, kindest, and most respectful teenagers out there, but she sure has!

The older I get, the more I realize how quickly time flies.  Kids grow and go off to college.  Parents, do yourself a favor and document these moments while you can!

Parks Family | Lifestyle Session | Jacksonville, FL | Cobalt & Co.

The Parks Family is truly the definition of 'adorable'.  We're talkin' a-freakin-dorable.  Just see for yourself:

A family that includes their pets is always a winner in my book.  And even though I'm totally the girl that goes to a party and makes friends with the dogs, I have to admit, Hadley totally stole this show.  Have you ever seen such a real life doll?

In-home sessions are always my fave.  Don't get me wrong, I love a good portrait, but there is just something so sweet and intimate about capturing real families in the midst of their real lives.  If my *ahem* thirty years have taught me anything, it's that change is the only constant and life moves far quicker than you expect - and rumor has it, this is even more true when you have children.  My greatest hope is that the images I create will invoke warm memories as families grow and evolve.

This session was a complimentary gift from Kavie Stahl of Coldwell Banker Vanguard Realty.

Carlucci Family | Lifestyle Session | Jacksonville, FL | Cobalt & Co.

The Carlucci Family is another one that I know through church & just adore.  Lauren was the leader of a lifegroup I was part of & I remember the day she announced she was pregnant with their little girl.  They recently sold their home, the first house they shared as a couple & then welcomed their two children into.

I was so excited when they wanted to have me over for a lifestyle session in their current home.  Originally we were hoping to have me actually come on moving day but as it turned out I was going to be out of town that day.  As much as I loved the idea of documenting such a big day in their lives, I have to say, I think I'm glad I was able to get some pictures in their home while it still looked like theirs.

Homes are where families gather & grow.  Each room filled with memories.  I don't have children of my own but I can only imagine that despite being excited for a new house & new adventures, you would have to feel some sadness at leaving your child's first home.

I am so happy I was able to capture these memories in & around their home for them.

Thank you Carlucci Family for trusting me to document this special time in your lives!
